Advanced Anti-Migration Silicone Ink

Feature Essentials & Performance

Our premium anti-migration silicone ink prevents dye migration on dark fabrics while preserving exceptional elasticity and a soft hand feel.

Disperse Dye Blocking

Formulated for polyester, spandex, and softshell substrates. Effectively blocks dye migration to maintain absolute color fidelity for top-layer prints.

>500% Elongation

Flexes continuously with the fabric. Prevents mechanical cracking under extreme stretch, resolving the failure rates of traditional rigid blockers.

Cross-Linked Adhesion

Forms a secure chemical bond between the fabric and top-coat inks. Eliminates delamination and peeling risks during heavy wear or industrial washing.

Low-Profile & Compliant

Applies as a thin structural coating to preserve natural fabric drape. 100% solvent-free and heavy-metal-free, ensuring certified safety for direct skin contact.

Operational Process

The “Sandwich Method” is critical for success on polyester.

Step 1: The Foundation (Linker)

If printing on waterproof nylon or slippery polyester, print 1 layer of Silicone Linker first to ensure adhesion. Flash dry.

Step 2: The Barrier (Anti-Migration)

Mix Anti-Migration Base + Catalyst (10:1).
Print: Use an 86-100 mesh screen. Print 2 layers (Print-Flash-Print).
Expert Tip: Do not over-flash! Flash at 100°C for just 5-8 seconds. Excessive heat during flashing wakes up the fabric dye and causes it to migrate before you even finish printing.
Note: The print will look dark grey. This is normal.

Step 3: The Background (White),The Design & Color

Print your High-Opacity White Silicone on top of the grey blocker.
Print 2-3 layers until the grey is completely covered and the white is brilliant.
Print your final colors (Red, Blue, High Density, etc.) on top of the white.

Step 4: Final Cure

Bake at 140°C – 150°C for 90 seconds.
Warning: Keep temperature as low as possible (140°C is safer for poly) to prevent late-stage migration.

Primary Fabrics

Why use it here? These fabrics release dye gas when heated (migration). Without this blocker, your print is ruined.

Customer Case Study

Client: Sportswear Manufacturer (Germany)
The Challenge: White prints on sublimated red polyester substrates exhibited severe dye migration during standard warehouse storage, resulting in a €50,000 liability claim due to product rejection.
The Solution: Integrated our Carbon-Grey Anti-Migration Silicone as a structural barrier underbase.
The Outcome:
Migration Control: Effectively mitigated disperse dye bleeding, maintaining strict color fidelity over extended storage periods.
Mechanical Flexibility: Retained required high-elongation properties to support high-stress athletic movement without cracking.
Validation Passed: Successfully met the brand’s accelerated aging protocols (7 days at 60°C oven validation).

FAQ – Troubleshooting

Q1: Why is the anti-migration silicone black/grey?

A: It contains activated carbon, which is the most effective material for absorbing loose dye molecules. You must cover it with white silicone.

Q2: Can I use this on cotton?

A: You can, but it’s unnecessary. Cotton dyes (reactive dyes) do not migrate/bleed like polyester dyes. Save your money and use standard silicone for cotton.

Q3: What happens if I cure it at 180°C?

A: Yes, our formula is Phthalate-Free and Lead-Free, making it compliant with CPSIA regulations for children’s apparel.

Q4: Does this product contain PVC?

A: No. Unlike the old “Grey Blocker Plastisol,” our product is 100% Silicone, PVC-free, and Phthalate-free.

Q5: Can I mix the Anti-Migration Carbon base directly into my white silicone ink to save a printing step?

A: No, we strongly advise against this. To effectively block dyes, the activated carbon must form a concentrated base layer (the shield). Mixing it into your white ink dilutes its absorption power and will turn your top-coat white into a permanent muddy grey. For maximum protection, always follow the “Sandwich Method”: Print the pure blocker first, flash, and then overprint with High-Opacity White.
